Trade turnover between Armenia, Georgia grew by 55%
According to the data released by Armenia’s National Statistical Service, trade turnover between Armenia and Georgia reached 98 million 322.3 thousand USD for the period of January – May of the year 2016, which is 55% higher as compared to the data of the indicated period of the previous year.
The Statistical Service details that in January –May of the year 2015 trade turnover between Armenia, Georgia comprised 63 million 337.2 thousand USD.
According to the data, the share of Georgia in the total trade turnover of Armenia amounted to 5,2%.
The volume of exports from Armenia to Georgia for the first five months of the current year constitute 57 million 107.8 thousand, growing by around 50% annually.
The volume of import from Georgia to Armenia grew by 61,9% reaching 41 million 214.5 thousand USD.
For the period of January-May of the current year the share of Georgia in the total export and import of Armenia amounts to 8.7% and 3.3% respectively.
