James Warlick: The Minsk Group works on organizing the Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting
The OSCE Minsk Group Chairmen are working upon organizing the possible meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the US co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassador James Warlick told Ria Novosti.
“No exact date is available for the next meeting of the presidents. The co-chairing countries in the face of Russia, the US and France, will encourage the sides to continue the negotiations at the highest level and working upon organizing the possible meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents,” Warlick said, as quoted by the agency.
To remind, the president of Armenia and Azerbaijan met on June 20 in Saint Petersburg. The sides issued a joint statement after the summit, expressing their commitment to continue the high-level negotiations aimed at the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
