Everyone should realize the no issue may be resolved through arms, Artsakh Hero, member of the NKR Parliament Vitaly Balasanyan told reporters in the seized police regiment, adding: “The armed forces are defending the security and the territorial integrity of our state.”

Balasanyan, who has acted as a mediator between the members of the armed group and the National Security Service, stressed, that the motive behind the gunmen’s demand over the resignation of President Sargsyan is explained by the President’s alleged intention of giving up the Karabakh lands.

“No discussion of giving up the lands was held during the last visit of President Sargsyan to the Artsakh Republic. No such question was raised. President received 4-5 groups, and we were the last one,” Balasanyan commented.

According to him, during the visit to Artsakh, President Sargsyan asked for the Artsakh position and the perspectives of the solution. “I was the one who directly asked the President whether any force, state, person exerts pressure or forces him a solution. The President simply dismissed that possibility,” Balasanyan concluded.
