Yerevan Standoff: Alek Yenikomshian on expectations of negotiator
Member of “New Armenia” movement, Alek Yenikomshian told the reporters that it’s been over 30 hours that members of “Daredevils of Sassoun” have been deprived of electricity, medical assistance and phone service at the Erebuni Police HQ.
He noted that if the problems aren’t resolved until the evening, members of the group and the people gathered at Khorenatsi Str. will decide their further steps.
Yenikomshian also informed that the new mediator of negotiations between members of “Daredevils of Sassoun” and state authorities will be, “Sisakan” regiment Commander, Ashot Minasyan.
“We demand that the new mediator informs people about the negotiations process, also the representatives of the demonstrators to be in direct contact with the boys [members of “Daredevils of Sassoun”]. Their isolation is improper for the negotiations,” Yenikomshian said.
