Iran Minister of Petroleum: Iran will export gas to Georgia via Armenia
The volume of gas exported to Armenia will increase three times, Minister of Petroleum of Iran, Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said, IRNA news agency reports.
According to the source, after the meeting with Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia, Levon Yolyan, Bijan Namdar Zangeneh told reporters that volumes of gas exported to Armenia will reach 3 million cubic meters per day by the end of 2018.
As the Iranian news agency reports, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia told reporters that the most important topic for discussion during the meeting was that of exporting gas to Georgia via Armenia.
In his turn, Minister of Petroleum of Iran noted that they have signed a trial agreement with a Georgian buyer company, which anticipates export of small amount of Iranian gas to Georgia via Armenia.
