Aram I: Syrian-Armenian community should live long and prosper
His Holiness Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I has started his pastoral visit to Latakia, Syria. As Kandzasar paper reports, His Holiness Aram I prayed and addressed gathered Armenians at Sourp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church.
“One hundred years ago the Armenians witnessed death and massacres in Turkey and found brotherly love and peaceful coexistence in Syria. The Syrian-Armenian community is linked to the state, it should live long and prosper,” the paper quotes the Catholicos.
Latakia governor, present at the meeting, stated that Armenians has always been standing on the frontline to defend Syria, giving numerous martyrs.
