Positive changes in lives of persons with disabilities reflected in a photo-exhibition
“I work” photo-exhibition, which has opened today, July 28, illustrates the positive changes in the lives of people with disabilities.
The photos depict the roads of those people who acquired a new profession, new skills and a job. These photos prove that there is no “special” profession for people with disabilities, and that these people may acquire different skills, like sewing, programming, computer design, etc., depending on their abilities and preferences.
Photographers Marianna Meliksetyan and Rasmila Alaverdyan took the photos in different state and private institutions of Armenian provinces and the capital city of Yerevan.
The photo exhibition will be open at Moscow Cinema until July 31.
The exhibition is organized by “Unison” NGO within the framework of “Livelihood Improvement through Fostered Employment (LIFE) for People with Disabilities” program carried out by “Save the Children” organization.
Within the framework of LIFE program, 740 people with disabilities acquired jobs.
