Nikolay Baghdasaryan: Yenikomshian must be released
Founding Parliament member, Alek Yenikomshian has been arrested.
“With the Ombudsman, we’re going to the place where they are temporary keeping those arrested. As a lawyer, I consider those arrests illegal, because they [the police] had made several violations while arresting [those people],” Yenikomshian’s lawyer, Nikolay Baghdasaryan told Panorama.am.
According to him, considering the violations, the record should be cancelled, and Yenikomshian, who is suspected of supporting the armed group that had seized Erebuni police station on July 17 – released.
The Ombudsman’s office reported that the representatives of the Human Rights Defender had visited Alek
Yenikomshian and Levon Barseghyan. They also visited Aram Manukyan and other wounded persons who are currently receiving medical treatment at the convicts’ hospital.
