Head of Monitoring Group: “Daredevils of Sassoun” armed group member, Aram Hakobyan has physical injuries
Public monitoring group observing RA Police detention facilities met with member of “Daredevils of Sassoun” armed group, Aram Hakobyan in the morning, head of the monitoring group, Hasmik Sahakyan told reporters during briefing.
“He had physical injuries, and could hardly move. He had refused the services of an ambulance at the detention facility. He’s likely to have broken ribs,” she said.
Sahakyan also noted that during a conversation, Hakobyan said that he didn’t surrender voluntarily as announced by the police. According to Sahakyan, he had gone back to help wounded members of the group unarmed and the police arrested him immediately after beating.
She also said that a lawyer and a forensic doctor were also to visit Aram Hakobyan to carry out forensic examination soon after their visit.
Earlier, lawyer, Lusine Hakobyan told Parnoama.am that Aram Hakobyan would be charged.
On July 27, the police stated that members of the armed group, Gagik Yeghiazaryan and Aram Hakobyan had voluntarily surrendered.
