RA Ministry of Health: 26 people of 73 submitted to hospitals continue their treatment
The Ministry of Health of Armenia has published new information on the conditions and number of those injured during the clashes at Sari Tagh neighbourhood on July 29.
“26 people, including 6 police officers out of 73 injured, who were submitted to different medical facilities as a result of clashes at Khornatsi Str. and Sari Tag neighbourhood, continue their treatment,” the Ministry of Health states.
According to the statement, 36 people out of 50 submitted to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Centre have been discharged. One of the injured has been moved to the Research Centre of Radiation Medicine and Burns. 13 people continue their treatment at the centre. One of the patients underwent an eye-removal surgery.
The Ministry of Health also informs that 16 people, including 12 policemen and 2 members of the armed group were submitted to the medical centre yesterday. 8 policemen continue their treatment.
According to the statement, the police officer with an abdominal gunshot wound and 2 gunmen are in the intensive care unit after undergoing surgery.
Other injured people continue their treatment in Heratsi No.1 Hospital Complex, Armenia Republican and Izmirlian Medical Centres, and the Research Centre of Radiation Medicine and Burns.
Besides those in the intensive care units, others are mainly in satisfactory conditions. All those injured are provided with proper medical treatment.
The Ministry also notes that rumours about little children being hospitalized are not true.
