How Life.ru cameraman and A1+ reporter were injured
Russian Life.ru TV cameraman, Tigran Gasparyan had been injured yesterday at Sari Tagh neighbourhood when the police resorted to special measures. He received shrapnel wound in the leg.
Gasparyan was taken to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Centre.
“We were standing between the people and the police officers. We were told to move to the right, where it would be safer. Before we could reach the said area, explosives blasted. I’ve got shrapnel wound. They didn’t intentionally throw them at us, they just exploded,” Gasparyan told the reporters.
A1+ reporter, Robert Ananyan has been moved from the intensive care unit to a patient’s room. He was injured in the leg, so now he can hardly move.
Ananyan told reporters that shortly he would be able to walk and return to work
According to him, it was a targeted attack on the journalists. “They directed [the journalists] to some area, but the first explosions occurred there. I think the journalists were targeted. They were more aggressive towards the news agencies which were recording. They seemed to throw explosives in the direction of those with cameras”.
