Charges pressed against two members of Daredevils of Sassoun
Gagik Yeghiazaryan and Aram Hakobyan, members of Daredevils of Sassoun armed group have been charged under Part 3 of Article 219 of the RA Criminal Code (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication by an organized group) and Part 3 of the Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices by an organized group), lawyer Lusine Hakobyan told Parnoama.am.
“They refuse to admit the charges pressed,” she added.
Lusine Hakobyan also said that the court decided to fulfil the motion submitted by investigators to use arrest as a preventive measure against them. Gagik Yeghiazaryan and Aram Hakobyan have been taken to the isolation cell of the National Security Service.
The lawyer is going to appeal, as in both cases the decisions are unjustified.
“The investigators haven’t provided any evidence to substantiate their motions. For example, one of them noted that if they don’t arrest Gagik Yeghiazaryan he would avoid preliminary investigations. He didn’t provide any evidence,” the lawyer said.
To remind, on July 27, the police stated that members of the armed group, Gagik Yeghiazaryan and Aram Hakobyan had surrendered.
