When the journalist has no right to make a choice
Some were questioning yesterday what is the difference whether citizens or journalists are subjected to violence. What is the reason to distinguish?
That is for sure we are not so primitive to assess the “impermissibility” of distinguishing people by their profession. Yet there is a detail, we should consider.
The citizen has a right to voice his/her approach; the citizen has the right to be or not to be on the scene. That is not the case with the journalists.
Furthermore, unlike the police officer, the journalist has neither weapon nor is protected by the law to exercise a right and take someone to a police station.... Editorial.
Thus much.
The rest is as simple as the air that never saw an explosive.
