Ombudsman demands to initiate criminal investigation against police officers engaged in brutality
“A criminal investigation shall be initiated without further delay against those police officers who inflicted injuries upon citizens in Sari Tagh area [in Yerevan]”, - reads a public statement made by Arman Tatoyan, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.
“The Ombudsman also demanded that those police officers, irrelevant of their outfit [last night], suspected in such acts should be relieved of their duties until all the circumstances of the case are revealed”, - Arman Tatoyan said in his statement.
