Person who delivered food to Daredevils of Sassoun pressed with same charges as the group members
Artur Sargsyan, the person who broke the police cordon by his car and delivered food to the members of the Daredevils of Sassoun group is pressed with the same charges as the rest of the group members. As lawyer Iveta Petrosyna told Panorama.am, Arthur Petrosyan is accused under Part 3 of the Article 218 (taking hostages) and Part 3 of the Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of the RA Criminal Code.
“That is an absurd, since everyone knows when my client entered the police regiment and for what purpose. His aim was just to deliver food to those inside the police regiments,” the lawyer said.
To lawyer Arayik Papoyan’s words, four lawyers, the judge and the investigator were trying to grasp how Papyan entered the police station on July 17 - the day it was seized and did again on July 26 while delivering food.
“Artur Sargsyan is accused of breaking into the police regiment and taking hostages. He suffers from a sickness and is unable to walk more then 5-6 meters. Could such a person take hostages,” wonders the lawyer.
