Company to be created to export gas from Iran
The Government of Armenia has decided to create the “Energaimpex” company to increase gas import from the Islamic Republic of Iran making the use of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline more productive.
According to the very decision, the Government has allocated money from the reserve fund for the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to invest in the equity capital of the company.
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Levon Yolyan noted that the decision was made taking into consideration that currently there is no structure that has the right to buy, import and export gas and electricity as a transit country from Iran. “With this decision, we’ll have a structure, which will have and exercise those rights.”
