Pavel Manukyan continues hunger strike, despite Jirair Sefilians requests
Member of “Daredevils of Sassoun” group, Pavel Manukyan continues hunger strike, despite the request of Jirair Sefilian, who is in Vardashen penitentiary, Manukyans lawyer, member of the RA Chamber of Advocates, Inesa Petrosyan told Panorama.am.
“Pavlik Manukyan received Jirair Sefilian’s letter. He was very excited to hear his captain’s call, yet he still continues the hunger strike. The other lawyer is currently speaking to him. Perhaps we’ll make an announcement a bit later,” the lawyer stated.
According to Inesa Petrosyan, Pavel Manukyan is in a serious but stable condition. He’s in the hospital for inmates, although he has to be in Erebuni Medical Centre.
She also informed that the decision for Maukyan’s arrest will be appealed in court today.
To note, Pavel and Aram Manukyans had been taken to Erebuni Medical Centre after being wounded on July 27, during firefight in the area of Erebuni police station.
To remind, Pavel Manukyan has been charged with Part 3 of Article 219 of the RA Criminal Code (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication by an organized group) and Part 3 of the Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices by an organized group). The crimes are punished with imprisonment for the term of 6 to 12 and 3 to 8 years respectively.
