Press service of the police informed Panorama.am that a record has been prepared having regard to Article 180.1 of the RA Code of Administrative Violations to terminate the public event for not implementing the requirements set by the Law on Conducting Meetings, Assemblies, Rallies and Demonstrations in due time.
After having filed the record on administrative violations, the detained were released.
In case of failure to implement in a timely manner the decision to terminate public events in cases stipulated for by the RA Law on Conducting Meetings, Assemblies, Rallies and Demonstrations is punished with a fine in the amount of 50-100 times the minimal salary.
To note, that some citizens claimed that they’d been taken to police stations without even being involved in the demonstration.
However, we must note that if the police considers an area not suitable for walks, it should blockade the said area with a ribbon so that people would understand that it’s forbidden.
