Starting today RA citizens can visit Iran without visas, Iranian Ambassador says
RA Prime Minister, Hovik Abrahamyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Armenia, Seyyed Kazem Sajjad.
Information and public relations department of the RA government informs that during the meeting they discussed a number of issues concerning the Iranian-Armenian relationship and highlighted the importance of further development and expansion of economic cooperation.
According to the source, they also addressed the agreement, recently signed by Armenia and Iran on visa-free regime for Armenian citizens travelling to Iran.
The Iranian Ambassador noted that starting today all Iranian border crossing points have been informed that all Armenian citizens can visit Iran without visas.
Hovik Abrahamyan and Seyyed Kazem Sajjad assured that the visa-free regime will promote tourism development and will create more favourable conditions for mutual visits of Armenian and Iranian citizens.
