Artur Sargsyan’s friends gather at Nubarashen penitentiary to celebrate his birthday
Friends of Artur Sargsyan, who entered the Erebuni police station territory unarmed to bring food for members of “Daredevils of Sassoun” group on his own car, gathered at Nubarashen penitentiary to celebrate his 48th birthday.
Sargsyan’s friends and other citizens brought several cakes to show their respect. On one of the cakes it was written, “To the one who brought bread”.
One of his friends told reporters that he calls on the authorities to release Artur Sargsyan, as the charges put on him are nonsense. “It’s a shame to arrest someone for bringing food”.
Another friend of Sargsyan noted that they’re going to apply for their friend to be nominated as an Aurora Prize candidate. “Together with his brother, we want to gather detailed information to present to the award. But he’s so humble, we’re afraid he won’t agree.”
At the end, his friends wondered whether Sargsyan is that dangerous for the public that they won’t release him.
To remind, Arthur Sargsyan, as other members of “Daredevils of Sassoun” has been charged with Part 3 of the Article 218 (taking hostages) and Part 3 of the Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of the RA Criminal Code.
