Tamara Manukyan still can’t walk from burns received due to ‘special means’ applied by police
Gagik Mkrtchyan, the police officer who was wounded on July 17 at Erebuni police station is still in serious condition. As Health Ministry spokesperson, Anahit Haytayan told Panorama.am, the officer is still connected to the artificial respiration device.
According to her, the police officer has been transferred to Astghik Medical Centre as there was a need for haemodialysis.
She also informed that member of “Daredevils of Sassoun” group, Sedrak Nazaryan, who is at Erebuni Medical Centre is in serious but stable condition.
Anahit Haytayan also noted that one of the injured had been discharged from the hospital. Currently, 8 people who have suffered during the events from July 17-31 continue their medical treatment.
It should be noted that one of the injured, Tamara Manukyan received burns in her face, legs and hands on July 29, when the police applied ‘special means’ in Sari Tagh neighbourhood. Tamar Manukyan had been taken to Grigor Lusavorich Medical Centre then transferred to the Scientific Centre of Radiation Medicine and Burns.
Doctor Misak Gevorgyan told Panorama.am that Tamara is in satisfactory condition. Some of her wounds healed. “She’s now in the patient’s room. She doesn’t have temperature and feels well. However, she still can’t walk and will remain in the hospital for a few more days.”
