Cavusoglu on Iran’s role in establishing ceasefire in Syria
Turkey views Iran’s security like its own, Turkish Foreign Minister said, according to Iranian FARS news agency.
It should be noted that today, August 12, Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif left for Baku to hold a meeting with his counterpart.
“During the meeting we discussed the Syrian issue. We agreed on the issue of maintaining Syria’s territorial integrity. Despite our disagreements, we continue negotiations. We believe that Iran can have a positive influence in establishing ceasefire in Syria,” the Turkish FM stated commenting on the Syrian crisis.
Speaking about Iranian-Turkish relationship, the Turkish FM noted that they view Iran’s security like their own, and believe that Iran shares their views.
