Russia sells Iran military ammunition
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Levon Dzhagaryan said that Iran hinted that it wishes to acquire modern Russian weapons, MEHR news agency reports.
“Iran has hinted that it wishes to acquire modern Russian weapons. The ammunition provided to Iran has exclusively defensive significance. This fact doesn’t upset the balance between the forces in the region,” the Ambassador said during an interview with Ria Novosti.
Iranian Tansim news agency quoted the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, who said that Russia had already provided Iran with the second batch of S-300 missile systems.
