Armenian team finishes in second place at Botvinnik Cup
Mikhail Botvinnik Cup concluded in Moscow today where 10 teams from Moldova, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan participated.
As the Chess Federation of Armenia reports, national teams were made up of four young chess players and the captains.
The captain of Armenian team was GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan and team members were Barseghyan Armen, Sargsyan Tigran, Manukyan Aleks and Yeroyan Ara.
According to the source, Belarus team won the Botvinnik Cup gaining 46,5 point. Armenian team took the second place with 44 points, while Georgia took the third place in the top three.
