Short-term rains expected in the republic
On August 18 thunderstorm and a short-term rain are expected in the evening hours primarily in the northern regions of Armenia. As the Hydro-meteorological and Monitoring Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports, no precipitation is expected on August 19-22.
Winds can reach 2-7 meters per second. In Ararat Valley winds up to 15-20 meters per second are possible in the evening hours.
The air temperature will go up by 1-2 degrees, with no subsequent change.
In Yerevan a thunderstorm and a low possibility of a short-term rain in spots is expected in the evening hours on August 18. No precipitation is expected with intensification of wind to 15-20 meters per second, reads the weather forecast issued by the Hydro-meteorological service.
