Expert: Deployment of Russian military aircraft unprecedented permit on the Iranian part
Russian-Iranian military cooperation enters a qualitative new level. Until recently it was named as a military technical cooperation, from now on we deal with a format of military space cooperation, expert in Iranian studies Karen Mkrtchyan told reporters at a press conference on Saturday.
To the speaker’s words, considering the ongoing terrorist operations in Syria and Russia’s involvement in the region, the Russian side managed to make use of the military aircraft at Hamada and carry out flights to oppress Syrian terrorist groups.
“After strengthening positions in the region of the South Caucasus, Russia seeks to enhance its standing in the states of the Middle East, namely in Syria and Iran. The deployment of Russian military aircraft is an unprecedented permission on part of Iran. That is a political and diplomatic success for Russia as well,” the expert stressed.
