Military exercises underway in Russian bases deployed in Armenia
Over 11 thousand servicemen of the Russian artillery and rocket forces are involved in the exercises underway in18 training grounds of the Southern Military District of Russia Defense Ministry.
According to the report by Ria Novosti, military exercises are conducted in Crimea, military bases deployed in Armenia, South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The exercises will last one month.
The exercises involve some 2.2 thousands of military equipment units, including 300 artillery, 200 rocket, 100 anti-tank systems, and 400 grenade launchers..
Earlier Southern Military District announced about exercises of reconnaissancemen of Russian 102nd military base at the high-mountain range Kamkhud.
Military exercises conducted up to 1,5 thousand meters above sea level will last for three days. More than 300 servicemen and 50 military equipment units, including UAVs, are involved in them.
