National Statistical Service: RA external debt rose by 154 million USD in the first semester of 2016
The National Statistical Service (NSS) of the Republic of Armenia has summed the social-economic indicators of the first semester of the year 2016. According to the data, released by NSS, the volume of the export of products for the indicated period comprised 817 million USD, while that of the import of products - 1 457 billion USD.
According to the data, the balance of external trade for the mentioned period was negative and accounted for 640 million USD.
For the first semester of the year 2016 RA external debt rose 154 million USD, reaching 4 470 billion USD.
Meanwhile. Gross international reserves reduced by 205 million USD, standing at 1 566 billion USD.
In the I quarter of 2016 the growth rate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) comprised 104.4%. The volume of GDP at current prices made up 898 232.6 million drams in the I quarter of 2016, including the volume of agriculture 56 414.8 million drams or in GDP 6.3%. In the I quarter of 2016 the growth rate of GDP (104.4%) exceeded the growth rate of agriculture (103.8%).
In the II quarter of 2016 consumer price index made up 98.3% compared to 105.1% for the same period of the previous year. The recorded deflation was the result of a deflation of food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco) and non-food products 96.4% and 97.0% correspondingly. At the same period price index of services made up 102.4% compared to 103.9% for the same period of the previous year.
