MES: No Armenians and Armenian citizens among victims of Italian earthquake
The Armenian Ministry of Extraordinary Affairs has contacted the Consul of Armenia to Italy, 2nd Secretary, A. Hovhannisyan. The latter informed that no Armenians or Armenian citizens are the victims of the Italian earthquake.
Earlier, Armenian Foreign Ministry informed that the Armenian Embassy in Italy set a hotline for those Armenian citizens affected by the earthquake. Armenian citizens who need any assistance can call +390687788654.
According to Reuters, at this point the death toll has reached 267. 400 people have been taken to hospitals with different injuries, 40 of them are in critical condition. 2500 people are left without shelter.
To remind, Italy declared August 27 a day of mourning.
