Journalists are painting
A charity exhibition-sale of the paintings created by journalists will open at Sharamberyan Center of Folk Art in Yerevan (Abovyan St. 64) on August 27 at 14.00.
As Mughdusyan Art Center reports, the exhibition is entitled “Thursday” and showcases the works of 12 Armenian journalists, representing different media outlets who have been visiting the art center every Thursday for 6 months to take painting classes.
“Every Thursday we have painted and created together for several hours, taking master classes after a busy working day, having an opportunity touch with art and relax,” reads the statement on behalf of the journalists.
At the requests of the authors, visitors may buy the exhibited works, and part of the received revenues will be donated to Mughdusyan Art Center where children with disability and from socially disadvantaged families attend.
The exhibition-sale will be open until September 3.
