RA Minister of Justice welcomes journalists’ initiative
A charity exhibition-sale entitled “Thursday” featuring the works of 12 Armenian journalists has opened at Sharamberyan Centre of Folk Art in Yerevan (Abovyan St. 64) on August 27. The journalists, representing different media outlets have been visiting the art centre every Thursday for 6 months to take painting classes.
Journalist Alisa Gevorgyan said that the workshop had been a wonderful opportunity for her to express what she always wanted to.
RA Minister of Justice, Arpine Hovhannisyan was also present during the exhibition. “I can see that the exhibition is quite a success. Initiating such an event for charity is a great idea”.
At the requests of the journalists, visitors may buy the exhibited works, and part of the received revenues will be donated to Mughdusyan Art Center where children with disabilities and from socially disadvantaged families attend.
The exhibition-sale will be open until September 3.
