Paralympics 2016 have officially opened
The opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games 2016 was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
According to Lenta.ru , as a sign of support, the team of Belarus appeared on the stage carrying also the Russian flag.
To remind, Russia wasn’t allowed to take part in the Paralympics.
As earlier informed by the RA Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, our country will be represented by two athletes – Greta Vardanyan (personal coach Artak Nersisyan) that will compete in weightlifting and Margarita Hovakimyan (personal coach Aytsemnik Minasyan) in swimming.
Head of delegation of the Republic of Armenia during the games will be the Hakob Abrahamyan, President of “National Paralympic Committee of Armenia” NGO.
