Prime minister’s resignation regulated by the old Constitution
After the resignation of the head of the cabinet the constitutional-legal regulations will be implemented in accordance with the old Constitutional provisions adopted in 2005.
As expert in Constitution Vardan Ayvazyan told Panorama.am, the resignation of the prime minister implies that the government will also resign. The new prime minister will be appointed by the president in 10 days who in turn will form the new government in 20 days. After that the government will submit its program to the National Assembly.
“The new Constitution, adopted in 2015 may not regulate the procedure, since it will enter into force after the 2017 parliamentary elections,” Ayvazyan said.
