Andrey Konchalovsky to shoot a film about Michelangelo
Russian film director, Andrey Konchalovsky said that he is going to begin shooting a film about painter, sculptor Michelangelo in 2017, RIA Novosti writes adding that earlier the director had informed that the script of the film was ready.
“In the new year I will start [shooting] a new film about Michelangelo under the original title – “Sin”. Doing a movie on Michelangelo is no less complex than shooting one about [Andrei] Rublev. Working on the script, I suddenly remembered that I also wrote about Rublev. So, I’ve found parallels between these two artists.
I think that only Russians can now shoot a movie about Michelangelo, because we are living in the XV century, in the Renaissance,” Konchalovsky said.
