Narine Abgaryan’s “Three Apples Fell from the Sky” included in the short list of “Yasnaya Polyana” award
The Jury of “Yasnaya Polyana” Russian literary award has announced the short list of candidates for the main prize in the nomination “XXI century” and “Childhood. Adolescence. Youth”.
The long list, published earlier in June, includes 68 works.
“Narine Abgaryan is well-known to the reading public. The novel “Three Apples Fell from the Sky” is about kindness, light and love. Being written in excellent Russian and belonging to the classical Russian literature make this book important,” Co-Chairman of the award, Vladimir Tolstoy said.
“Yasnaya Polyana” literary award was established in 2003. It preserves the traditions of classical Russian literature and contemporary trends of modern literature.
