EU may allocate EUR 600 mln to Ukraine
The European Union will provide Ukraine with the second tranche of macro-financial assistance in the amount of EUR 600 million before the end of this year if the required legislative changes are adopted, Vice-President of the European Commission for the Euro and Social Dialogue, Valdis Dombrovskis said during a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, UNIAN reports.
“The fact that the International Monetary Fund has decided to disburse $1 billion to Ukraine is a very positive signal. The European Union is ready to do everything to disburse the second tranche of EUR 600 million to Ukraine this year if Ukraine meets the obligations agreed earlier,” he said.
In turn, Volodymyr Groysman noted that he expected the adoption of the necessary decisions by the Verkhovna Rada next week.
