“It is very important to support our talented doctors with the necessary tools and thus helping them to provide the patients with all medical care needed for fighting the disease. We need to join hands in this fight and make sure patients get the necessary treatment here in Armenia without the need of traveling outside the country, which means high expenses and travelling difficulties that not all the patients can afford,” VivaCell-MTS General manager Ralph Yirikian said.
The National Center of Oncology Center provides medical assistance to patients from all over Armenia, operating more than 3200 patients, providing antineoplastic chemotherapy to 4500 and radiation treatment to 1500 patients annually. The new equipment now available in the center will make the treatment of the patients more effective.
Throughout 2010, VivaCell-MTS has allocated more than AMD 238 million for the acquisition of equipment for the National Center of Oncology, out of which AMD 60 million – in 2016.
