RA police to check people arriving at the Republic Square on September 21, through special devices
For the purpose of ensuring public order and safety during a military parade held at the Republic Square of Armenia, within the framework of celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of Armenia's independence on September 21, the police will conduct inspection of items belonging to persons and guests arriving at the square through special devices.
“The entrance to the Republic Square will be open from Buzand, Aram, Abovyan, Nalbandyan streets and the adjacent park of the Government House through 5 police checkpoints.
The entrance will be closed from Shahumyan Square, Tigran Mets Avenue and parts of Amiryan street, during the military equipment parade.
The entrances to the Republic Square will open at 8 o’clock.
We ask the citizens to arrive earlier to provide sufficient time for the security check.
It is forbidden to arrive at the place of the event with piercing-cutting instruments, glass bottles, flammable materials and other items and objects.
We expect your cooperation and understanding,” a statement by the RA police reads.
