Three ministries renamed, one transformed into a committee
Minister - Chief of Armenia’s Government Staff Davit Harutyunyan presented draft legislation on amendments to the Law on “Government Structure” during the Cabinet session today in Yerevan.
According to the proposed draft, the Armenian Ministry of Urban Development will be transformed into a Committee, an adjunct body to the Government.
Other amendments envisaged by the draft relates to the names of three ministries.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Energy and Natural resources is renamed the Ministry of Energy infrastructure and Natural resources. The Ministry of Economy is renamed the Investment and Enterprise Support Ministry, while the Ministry of Transport and Communication is renamed the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies.
