The silver collector coin “The Centenary of the Armenian Genocide” issued by the Central Bank of Armenia in 2015 was announced the winner in the nomination “Coin of the Year” at the 10th Jubilee International Contest “Coin Constellation-2016” (Russia), press service of Central Bank of Armenia informs.

According to the source, the awarding ceremony took place in 22 September 2016 in Moscow, at the Radission Slavyanskaya Hotel, at the 7th International Conference and Exhibition COINS-2016.

The contest “Coin Constellation” has been organized since 2007. In 2016, 44 companies in total representing 29 countries participated in the contest.

More than 240 collector coins and 21 coin collections issued from 1 January to 31 December 2015 were introduced to the contest. The winners of the contest were chosen by the jury consisted of the experts from the world well-known museums and auction houses, central banks, coin suppliers, numismatic associations and specialized media.
