Preliminary investigation of the criminal case over obstructing “Azatutyun” reporter's professional activities over
Based on the evidence obtained in the scope of the criminal case investigated over the incidents occurred in Sari tagh district of Yerevan city on 29 July night of 30, a charge was brought against another person, Special Investigative Service of Armenia reported.
According to the source, based on the data obtained through the preliminary investigation of the case occurred on 29 July night of 30 2016, during the incidents taken place in Sari tagh, Yerevan city, D.S. supposing that the journalist of ''Azatutyun'' radio station video recorded him and he didn't want to have video concerning him in the Mass media, approached the journalist, pushed and through punching beat him up causing bodily injuries. Later on D.S. seized the journalist’s badge and fled the scene.
To note, charges have been brought against 8 people for having apparently committed crimes, including prevention of the journalists' legal professional activities. The preliminary investigation of a criminal case concerning Seyran, Karapetyan, Vladimir Mkhitaryan, Davit Sargsyan and Karen Grigoryan has been over in RA Special Investigation Service and sent to court.
