Chernobyl liquidators to receive state benefits in Armenia
The Armenian government adopted the regulation of granting a status to people who were called upon to deal with consequences of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
As the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reports, that the ministry will grant single certificate of conformity to all those who were tasked with neutralizing the consequences of the nuclear accident.
The certificate will have a legal force to ensure social benefits for the holders. Apart from that, an electronic registration of the liquidators is to be launched and a database of all the Chernobyl liquidators will be created.
To note, around 3 000 civil and military personnel from Armenia participated in to relief operations during the1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster
