Considerable progress in defense industry observed, Davit Pakhchanyan says
“The April war taught certain lesson to us. We witnessed how the adversary used highly technological weapons. Since then an active cooperation has been launched with the Ministry of Defense which have brought positive results today,” Head of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE), Karen Vardanyan, told reporters on the first day of DigiTec technological international exhibition.
To remind, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
To Vardanyan’s words, they had announced in late April about the work carried out toward creating devices to detect and destroy drones, management of the armed forces through locally produced controllable devices.
“The first results in those directions were recently presented to the President of the State. The President actually gave his consent and readiness to proceed with those projects,” added Vardanyan.
Davit Pakhchanyan, Head of the State Defense Industry Committee spoke of the close cooperation with companies specialized in high technologies and the considerable result reached thus far.
“The President attended the pavilion featuring some of the prototypes of new defense products. We had discussions with the producers,” Pakhchanyan informed, adding a considerable progress is observed in the industry after the April war, since the work has been carried out in intensive coordination with the state structures.
