Nikolay Bordyuzha: We live through not an easy era, not conductive to any analysis
Today, we face paradoxical situations which yet need to be substantiated, Nikolay Bordyuzha, the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) stated today in Yerevan, while opening the round table discussion devoted to the role of the CSTO in strengthening of the Eurasian security.
“I think, it is highly appropriate that this discussion is taking place now,” Bordyuzha stressed, adding that the security concerns of the CSTO member states should be first in the focus of the discussion.
“We live through not an easy era, not conductive to any analysis. It is extremely difficult to choose an algorithm in the security sphere. Today, by and large, the global security systems are dismantled. The leading global players have ceased cooperation on issues such as terrorism, drug trafficking, joint struggle against other issues and challenges,” the Secretary General said.
As one example evidencing the paradoxical situation in the current security affairs, Bordyuzha pointed out to the fact that different states call for countering the terrorism, while at the same time they arm those terrorists.
