The families of the fallen and missing soldiers of the military actions occurred in April 2016 on the frontline between the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan will be provided with rapid response mechanisms for social protection. The decision was adopted at the cabinet session today in Yerevan.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Mkrtchyan noted that the military commissariats across Armenia should submit the data of the disabled, killed, or missing soldiers and volunteers who suffered while implementing a combat duty or special task to regional social service units within three days.
“This means that regional social service units initiate opening of the social case procedure, as envisaged by the RA legislation, form a multiprofessional group to address the social needs of the given families,” Asatryan said.
To his words, the group will operate within the authorities given by the legislation as well as through non-government organizations and volunteer physical entities to develop individual social programs for the beneficiaries.
