Harutyunyan’s comments came before the final reading of the law in the National Assembly.

Harutyunyan has said the provision envisages a criminal liability of 2-5 years of imprisonment when an intentionally false report is made. In this case the sentence envisaged by the draft legislation remains unchanged.
“If the matter relates to negligence or careless while reporting an electoral fraud, the sentence is smoothed to impose a penalty in the amount of 200-800-fold of the minimum salary or with imprisonment up to 2 years,” Harutyunyan said.
The Chief of RA Government Staff stated next informed that ANC fraction had introduced 10 proposals some of which were accepted.
“Tomorrow, the full package will be received before the voting to reflect on the matters I have touched upon. That is to ensure that whatever I have said is properly reflected in the legislation,” concluded Harutyunyan.
