Chi-Foon Chan: IT sphere among Armenia’s top priorities
Information technologies (IT) sphere continues to be one of the top priorities of Armenia, Synopsys’ co-CEO Dr. Chi-Foon Chan told reporters during the ceremony of Armenian President's annual awards of the IT sector's best and brightest students. To his words, the network, Internet and other means of the IT sector promotes the sphere development in Armenia.
“I like the Armenian culture, since that is orientated toward the family and the education,” Chi-Foon Chan stressed, adding numerous changes have been observed in the country.
“Ten years ago Synopsys’ engineers didn’t’ have much interaction with their customers working in different states, yet today in Armenia they work over the most important projects for our customers worldwide. The Presidential Award in the IT area is very important since it prepares the next generation of IT professionals,” said Chi-Foon Chan.
To remind, President Serzh Sargsyan received today students and schoolchildren – recipients of the RA Presidential Educational Awards for year 2016 in the area of information technologies.
