The procedure of granting permission for short-term professional activity of foreign medical workers invited at the request of Armenian-based organizations is established by the decision of the cabinet.
The justification brought for the decision reads the activity of the medical workers is not regulated and no monitoring mechanisms exist to oversight their operation whether in providing medical aid or related service.

The decision sets out the timeframe for the short-term activity in Armenia, the list of the documents required for filling the relevant application as well as the reasons for declining the application.

Among other provisions, the application includes a valid document certifying the foreigners’ right to provide medical service in the respective country.
 
The ultimate goal of the decision is to exclude any abuse of their professional activity while implementing their duties.
