“Readings of Narekatsi”: Second International Conference in tribute of Hrachya Tamrazyan
On October 28-29 the “Readings of Narekatsi” Second International Conference dedicated to the memory of Hrachya Tamrazyan will be held in the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran. Reports will be presented by the famous experts in Narekatsi studies Jean-Pierre Mahe, Claudio Gugerotti, H. Shahe Ts. Ananyan, Father Levon Zekiyan and the others. Panorama.am learnt about this from Matenadaran.
Book presentations are scheduled be held within the framework of the conference, namely “Grigor Narekatsi and Narek School” by Hrachya Tamrazyan, the Italian translation of “Book of Lamentations” by Father Levon Zekiyan, the French translation of “Book of Lamentations” by Jean-Pierre Mahe, Seyranush Manukyan and David Ghazaryan and “Grigor Narekatsi in Medieval Miniatures”.
Notably Hrachya Tamrazyan, Ditector of the Matenadaran, passed away on 3 September. He was mainly engaged in the studies of the Medieval artists, namely in Narekatsi Studies.
