Reporter Armen Martirosyan says that Belavia’s incident is linked with his political views
Famous blogger and reporter Armen Martirosyan, who was forced out of the airplane en route Kiev-Minsk after it was forced to land, claims that the incident is linked with his political views. He has told about this during the interview conducted by the reporters of Lenta.ru Russian news agency.
“From the very first day I was an opponent of the coup in Ukraine. I called upon President Viktor Yanukovych to impose strict punishments on those who "burned" the civil war. I have helped the soldiers of speedydelete "Berkut", held conferences,” he noted.
According to Martirosyan, the incident was a complete surprise. After the airplane landed his name was mentioned on the loudspeaker and he was asked to come out with his things.
“I was taken by the officials of the Ukraine’s Security Service to the airport building. They treated me in a polite manner,” Martirosyan told.
He claims that in the customs office he was meticulously searched. “They thought that I was hiding a media somewhere.”
The reporter has mentioned that he intends to turn to court to appeal the illegal actions carried out by the Ukrainian authorities.
